Plant the Seed

Mark 4:30-32 (NIV) Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

So often we find ourselves in situations where we can’t see how we could possibly have any impact… Well, I encourage you to keep in mind that our purpose is to just plant the seed!

A seed will grow with time into it’s fullness. We should always remember that growth starts at the roots, underneath the surface where it can’t be seen. Trees, flowers, plants all grow at different speed, the same goes for a seed that we are called to plant in someone’s life! We may not get the benefit of reaping it’s harvest BUT we can know for certain that it will take root!

Double the Strength

Psalm 36:7 (NIV) How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

When you are beaten down, exhausted, hopeless and don’t know where to turn… take refuge in His embrace under the shadow of His wings. There you are protected, nurtured and there you will receive your healing. He knows your pain and the wounds caused by others, ultimately Our God is the only true Healer for them.  Continue reading

He is our Strength

Psalm 62 1-2 (NIV) Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

He is our everything! Papa is our strength and our fortress, we need nothing else. Daily we are faced with different battles, we may be torn left and right and feel like throwing in the towel, but He is right there walking with us step by step. When we are weak, He is strong for us and gets us through anything, even what seems impossible. He is the God of the impossible. Continue reading

Shine Bright

John 1:5 (NLT) The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Your Heavenly Father has equipped you to shine bright as only You can shine! Your light and love is what will cast out darkness around you. His light and love are embedded in you and have taken such deep roots that it can never be taken from you. Continue reading

A good reminder…

Last night I had a personal revelation that may sound cliche, but it was a great reminder why we need to have grace on ourselves.

I was in the middle of work and listening to my audio bible when all of a sudden I got so overwhelmed with emotions… I started praying, begging actually, for Abba to give me the same dedication and zeal like Paul had (I messaged Meghan and called myself Paula lol). When we read about Paul it seems that nothing, absolutely nothing was holding him back to do what God has called him to. Yet he does speak about our human weakness and how we do what we don’t want and don’t do what we do want. Continue reading

How glorious is His presence!

I recently started reading, or actually hearing (audio book), the banned books from the bible. This book doesn’t include all of them but most from what I gather.

It starts with the first 2 books of Adam and Eve.

Did anyone realize how many times they ACTUALLY committed suicide after they sinned and had to leave the garden of Eden? … I was stunned by that new discovery. They were so miserable not being in the garden and in the presence of God anymore that they wanted to be dead instead. Continue reading

Why do we do what we don’t want to do…

Romans 7:15-20  (NIV)

15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. How do you see HIM?

Psalm 22:28 (NIV) for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.

How do you see God? Do you just go with what teachers and others around you say or do you have your own intimate relationship with Him? Do you press in to know Him more? Continue reading

A new creation in Christ

Mattthew 19:1-10 (NKJV)  Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.

The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?” Continue reading
