Test the Spirits

(1 John 4:1) “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God”

The Word of God reminds us in 1 John 4:1: “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” This is not a suggestion, but a safeguard. The enemy knows how to disguise himself as an angel of light. He knows Scripture, and he knows how to twist it. But the Spirit of Truth within you will never contradict the Word of God.

Remember the man of God in 1 Kings 13. The Lord gave him a clear instruction: Do not eat or drink in that place. Yet another prophet came, claiming a word from the Lord, and persuaded him to do the very thing God had commanded him not to. Though the elder prophet seemed trustworthy, though he carried the mantle of experience, his words were not aligned with what God had already spoken. The man of God allowed honor for man to outweigh obedience to God—and it cost him his life.

Child of God, honor and respect are godly virtues, but they are never to replace obedience to the voice of the Lord. No matter how seasoned, wise, or prophetic another may appear, the Word of the Lord to you must remain your anchor. If God has spoken, hold fast. If you are unsure, return to Him in prayer. It is safer to cling to what He first spoke than to be swayed by voices—even well-meaning ones—that could lead you astray.

The Lord in His mercy will always guide those who choose obedience. Even if you miss a detail, your desire to honor His voice first will protect and realign your steps.

So test the spirits. Weigh every word. Stand firm in the truth. And above all, trust the Shepherd’s voice, for He said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Discernment in Prophecy

“For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.” – 1 Corinthians 14:31

Prophecy is a gift given to the body of Christ not to confuse, but to strengthen, encourage, and edify. When the Lord releases a word through His Spirit, it is meant to draw you closer to Him, to build up your faith, and to remind you of His truth. Yet we must remember: not every voice that speaks is from the Holy Spirit. The enemy also knows Scripture; he has twisted it from the very beginning (Genesis 3:1–5, Matthew 4:6). This is why discernment is essential. Continue reading

Triumphant

Luke 10:19 declares, “Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means harm you.”

How many years do we waste as Christians thinking the devil is chasing us down, when the truth is that Jesus has already stripped him of his power? On the cross, Christ bore all of our infirmities, every sickness, every curse. He defeated sin, He defeated death, and He defeated the enemy once and for all. Too often we forget this, and we live as though we are still under attack instead of realizing that the victory has already been won. Continue reading

Authority Now

Luke 10:19 (ESV) Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

The Spirit reminds you: The name of Jesus is not just the highest name in heaven — it is the highest name here, now, on the earth where you walk.

Philippians 2:9–11 declares that God has given Jesus the name above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow — in heaven, on earth, and under the earth — and every tongue confess that He is Lord. This is not a future promise only for eternity. This is your reality in the kingdom of God today. Continue reading

Mightier

Luke 22:42 (TPT) Father, if you are willing, take this cup of agony away from me. But no matter what, your will must be mine.”

This life will be full of trials and tribulations, embrace them as you encounter them. Our Heavenly Father has equipped you with all that you need to go “through” whatever you’re facing. Throughout scripture they prayed for God to help them get through it. Continue reading

Don’t judge His Masterpiece

Romans 2:1 (TPT) No matter who you are, before you judge the wickedness of others, you had better remember this: you are also without excuse, for you too are guilty of the same kind of things! When you judge others, and then do the same things they do, you condemn yourself.

It comes so much easier to us to complain at times of difficulty and ask our Heavenly Father continuously “why” instead of trusting  that He will always work everything out for our good. He is sovereign, He knows the end before the beginning even. There’s always a bigger purpose why He allows our circumstances to be what they are. Continue reading

Trust His Process

Romans 8:28 (AMP) And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

How often do we ask ourselves “why did this happen to me?”… The first reaction we get to anything that’s uncomfortable or painful in any way is to ask why did God allow it to happen, or is the enemy attacking us, or what did we do wrong, and so on. Continue reading

A New You

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (NLT) And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

From the moment we chose Christ, Holy Spirit enters us and starts transforming us from glory to glory. Glory to glory  means one step at a time. So be patient with the progress, be gracious with yourself just as our Heavenly Father is. Continue reading

Never-ending Welcome

Psalm 86:4-5 (VOICE)  Bring joy into the life of Your servant, for it’s only to You, O Lord, that I offer my soul.
O Lord, You are good and ready to forgive; Your loyal love flows generously over all who cry out to You.

God is Love! His mercies are new everyday, yet the enemy fights so hard to lie to us that our Heavenly Father will “punish” us for our sins. Absolutely not, there’s no condemnation through Christ. He chastises those He loves but He doesn’t punish us. We are righteous in God’s eyes through Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Continue reading

How do I hear God’s voice?

1 Kings 19:12 (NIV) After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

One of the most asked question is, how do I know i’m hearing God and am in His will…

I remember personally asking that question so often, and for some reason nobody could truly answer that. Now I can say i’m so thankful for my own personal journey that Papa took me on, and the amazing people He brought into my life that have shown and taught me so much. Regardless what you’re facing at the moment, allow me to reassure you that you will appreciate the experience later. No matter how painful and difficult. God is using every single situation to teach us and grow us closer to Him. Continue reading
